Propose a session

NOC26: August 28-30th, Liverpool Hope University

NOC26 is beginning to take shape — and we’re inviting organisers, activists and movement builders to help shape the programme.

We’re now inviting proposals for workshops, skill-shares, panels, discussions and interactive sessions — built around the ideas, experiences and struggles you care about most.

Common Struggle

in

This year, NOC is focusing on highlighting & strengthening collaborations between unions & communities to build collective power.

The growth of the far-right , and intensification of racism in communities and workplaces, can only be challenged by common struggle. We would love to receive submissions about organising against the far right and challenging racism, particularly organising that involves both labour organising and community organising.

Why propose a session?

NOC is organised by and for organisers. The strength of the conference comes from sessions rooted in real struggles — in workplaces, neighbourhoods, campaigns and movements — and from people willing to share what they’ve learned. From hands-on skill-sharing to deep political reflection, the sessions at NOC are what make the conference truly ours

We’re especially keen to hear proposals that engage with:

  • Stories of labour organising - both within & beyond the workplace

  • Practical sessions on organising techniques and skills

  • Trade unions and community groups working together

  • Migrant worker organising, across sectors and borders

  • Organising in the gig economy and other precarious forms of work

  • Building alliances between organisers, movements and left media

  • Countering fear, isolation, burnout & uncertainty

  • Navigating conflict, division and fragmentation

Key information:

  • The deadline for submissions is February 27th.

  • All proposals must be submitted by the submission form, by the submission end date.

  • Sessions can be 1.5 - 2 hrs in length. You can also submit a proposal for a shorter session, and we can try to pair you with another facilitator.
