The New Organising Conference 2025 will take place in Liverpool on 5-7 September. We will be hosted by Liverpool Hope University.
-
The programme is still a work in progress, but you can see an outline of the timetable on the programme page.
-
All organisations and individuals who are part of the workplace/social justice movement are invited. This includes unions, grass-roots, community organisers, campaign groups, journalists, academics and anyone who affiliates themselves with the struggle for a just and free society.
The NOC brings together trade unionists, community organisers, journalists, academics, people working in campaign groups and more. We believe that new ideas and projects come forth from conversations and interaction of groups that share a common goal.
-
Registration opens on the 1st of May. Please sign up to our newsletter to be the first to know.
-
The Conference is currently funded by a mixture of ticket sales and a grant from the Network for Social Change. We are working hard to prepare for the end of the Network funding in 2027. Ticket sales are essential for the long term future of the New Organising Conference.
-
Ticket prices are based on how many days/nights people will join us and are priced on a sliding scale, according to people's ability to pay for them. If your organisation pays for them it’s based on the size and access to resources it has.
The conference only works because people are willing to pay according to their financial position. To make the conference financially accessible for everyone we ask people to pay as much as they comfortably can. There will be more guidance on the payment page.
We have funding to supply people who need it with £0,- tickets. In some cases we can also cover travel expenses.

-
All accommodations are single rooms. The accommodation is right next to the venue. Please send us an email if you have any accommodation requests.
-
There is an opening plenary, and then you will be able to choose four sessions on Saturday and two on Sunday. You don’t need to pre-book sessions but it’s possible that for some sessions, rooms will reach capacity.
There is also ample time to meet new people and strengthen connections.
-
There are day tickets available for those who can’t commit to a full weekend.
We do encourage people to join for the full conference. Because there are just too many great sessions and conversations that you will miss out on if you leave early or arrive late.
-
Your ticket includes food, with day delegates getting meals for the time they are present. If you’re staying with us over the weekend there will be breakfast, lunch and dinner available. In between sessions there will be refreshments.
-
Yes. All the session rooms and toilets are fully accessible for people in wheelchairs, as is the accommodation.
-
Absolutely! The New Organising Conference is a celebration of what the movement has to offer. All organisations and individuals are invited to bring their stories, knowledge, practices and learnings regarding workplace and community organising. This year’s deadline for proposals has passed, but there might still be a few spots left, so if you have a session you want to run, let us know.
-
Yes. This conference is a celebration of what the movement has to offer. Some conference attendees contribute through sessions, others help out in different ways.
Everyone can participate and bring sessions. We want to create a space where people are both teacher and student. We want to encourage facilitators to stay for the whole conference and not just run a session and leave.
-
If childcare is a barrier for you to attend this conference, and on-site childcare would take that barrier away, please contact us.
-
This conference is created for and by the community. We want to ensure everyone is a participant, and no one is merely an observer. There will be lots of things we need help with, from convening/speaking at sessions to spending an hour or two on the registration desk. We’re also looking for someone to take photos. When you register you’ll be invited to apply for volunteer roles.

Yes, please. We rely on others to spread the word on social media, within friend groups and at work. We would love you to follow us on social media and share our posts on your timeline or in groups you are part of.
